Horror Hotel International Film Festival 2022

I had a pleasure to attend the 2022 Horror Hotel International Film Festival held at the Four Points by Sheraton in Cleveland, OH.  Although, I had wanted to attend this festival previously, this was actually the first time I did attend.

From this previous blog, you will read how I believe it is appropriate that this program is held in Cleveland.

The Horror Hotel International Film Festival is put on by the people who bring you the Horror Hotel TV show.  Readers of my past blogs will know how impressed I am with this show, and in fact it is a show I never miss.  For those of you who want an added treat on Fridays at 10 Pm you can not only watch the show on www.themonsterchannel.com, you will find members of Horror Hotel (including the Lamia, the host) in the chat room along with the fans. You can also find the show on ROKU, The Action Channel, Retro TV which can also be seen on It's Real Good TV.  You can always check more about the show on its Facebook page.

I was able to meet the lovely host Lamia.  This was a highlight for me, and I suggest you do not miss a chance to meet her.  Her dedication to the show and the festival is unmatched. I would suggest the show and festival would not be as good as it is without her input.

Ray Szuch the creator and Executive Producer of the show.  Not only does he put on a great show, he is also a legend in the martial arts. You can read more about this here.  I was lucky enough to be able to attend one of his lectures.  It was very educational and entertaining.

This is a video I created about attending the festival

I was able to be a vendor at this festival to sell and also promote my novel Legend of the Mystic Knights. I had never sold my novel at any type of festival, and I had decided to make this the first one. The staff at the Horror Hotel International Film Festival was very friendly and supportive and helped me along the entire process.

Besides me there were some wonderful vendors that included Horror Hosts from The Monster Channel.

The Midnight Movie: A group of friends who watch some movies and always have a comment about them.  Seeing their interaction with each other, is sometimes more entertaining than the films they show.

Drac and Countess Carita from Transylvania Tonight: It was a joy to meet these two.  There program is full of entertaining skits.  Drac himself is a wonderful artist and I was able to purchase some wonderful posters he made of legendary movie monsters.

Saturday Fright Theater: Hosted by Erik William.  It was a joy meeting him, and he also conducted numerous interviews about the festival.

There were numerous vendors at the festival also. Some of them I was able to speak to.

Eek the Artist: She sold some wonderful flower crowns along with her other great products.  Check out her wonderful items here.

SonnyBoo: I had the privilege of meeting Peter John Ross. Speaking to him was a real treat, and I suggest you seek out his page.

Nathan Ludwig: An author who wrote a great novel, Love Potion #666.

There are so many others and I suggest you seek each of them out.  You can find a list here.

Being a film festival there were numerous films and movie shorts that were shown. It was an outstanding opportunity for all film lovers to see some movies that they might never be able to see anywhere else.  Here is a list of these wonderful films.

The Scream Queen/King Competition is always a crowd favorite

There were competitions and awards given to the artists and their wonderful work.  For a list of these please check out this link.

It was such a privilege and pleasure to meet many people associated with the show. Not only did I meet them, I also met fans of the show. I am glad I got an opportunity to meet and speak to each one.  As I mentioned earlier, check out Horror Hotel (and the other shows I mentioned above) at The Monster Channel, Facebook and other social media.

As I had previously stated Horror Hotel is one of my favorite shows I watch.  The people who put their dedication into this show, repeat that dedication and expertise into the Horror Hotel International Film Festival.  This festival usually runs in the 2nd week of June.  If you are a film maker, get your project ready for next year. If you are a fan of horror films, make plans to attend this festival next year. If you just want a great fun time, also make your plans for next year to attend.
