HORROR HOTEL, Elegant Host, Excellent Show

As readers of my posts know, I am a big fan of Halloween.  This is my favorite time, I loved decorating the lawn, giving out candy, and of course watching horror movies. Since horror movies are more fun watching when they are presented by a horror host, I thought this year I would discuss one of the best, Horror Hotel.

Over the past year my time has been happily spent in some aspect with the show Horror Hotel.  Readers can read my posts over several years of my Halloween posts and find a reference to this wonderful show. You can read the following years here.

2021        2020        2019        2018

Let’s get into some of the basics for the show Horror Hotel.

Horror Hotel shows classic and independent horror, sci-fi, comedy and crime noir movies. It began in (2013) and its first movie shown was the 1960, properly named, Horror Hotel (a movie produced in the United Kingdom but set in America, its original title was The City of the Dead).

A picture of Lamia and myself

The show is hosted by the talented and lovely Lamia, Queen of the Dark.  The legendary Greek mother of all vampires.  Each week she will give descriptions of the movie, and the actors involved in it.  I always mention that the research done on these movies are truly impressive.  I will say after meeting her in person, she is one of the most charming and intellegent people you will ever meet, even if she is a vampire. You can follow her on social media, and she is always available to engage and interact with her fans.

Lamia is joined by other members of the hotel such as Lil Zombie, Lupo the Werewolf, Big Zombie, Sarah the Witch, Spot, Papa Voodoo, Vlad, Sgt Stone, and Lilith, another figure from Greek mythology (she likes to stay in her snake form). Their skits in the break of the movies are always fun and entertaining. The show’s creator and Executive Producer is Ray Szuch, who not only does a wonderful job on the show, but is also a legend in the martial arts. Please check out their Cast and Crew section for more information on everyone who does a wonderful time working to bring this show to you.

Poster for Horror Hotel

As I previously mentioned over the last year, I have had the privilege in dealing with Horror Hotel in aspect more than a fan.

I created an ad for my novel, Legend of the Mystic Knights.  This ad was shown on their show last October, it also will be shown in December of this year (2022) and numerous times over the past year. Advertising on Horror Hotel is a wonderful opportunity for you to promote a product or event, reaching a large audience and customer base that you may have missed before. I encourage you  to contact Horror Hotel and discuss advertising on their program.

In June I was finally able to go to the 2022 Horror Hotel International Film Festival.  I was a vendor for one of the days promoting the above-mentioned Legend of the Mystic Knights.  I was only a vendor for one of the days there, as I wanted to enjoy the festival as a fan. Attending this festival was some of the best times I have ever had.

Video I made of the Horror Hotel International Film Festival and an Interview I did with Erik WIlliam

Here at the festival, you can attend seminars, see vendors, and view some of the best independent horror movies out there. I suggest you make plans now to attend the festival which is usually held for several days around the 2nd weekend in June.

This was the first time I had been a vendor promoting my novel, and Lamia and Ray were so friendly and helpful in that endeavor.  I am stating now that you need to make plans to attend the 2023 Horror Hotel International Film Festival which will be held in June 8-11th. Please check out their page to get more details, you do not want to miss this event.  Read more about this event on a previous post.

The show can be watched on so many venues on tv and the internet.

For the internet, please go to their website at www.horrorhotel.net.  Here you can find information about the show upcoming events such as the Horror Hotel international Film Festival and even watch the show.

Other options are The Monster Channel.  This is a great site where you can watch movies hosted by numerous horror hosts.  For fans of the genre, this is one place you do not want to miss. You can watch it on Roku or go to their site and even participate in a chat.

Horror Hotel is in process of getting their ROKU channel up and running. So you will have an option to watch numerous episodes.

Horror Hotel is seen on numerous television stations, so please go to the Show Schedule section where you can find a local network that is carrying this show. While you are there do not forget to check out their giftshop.

Many of the readers on this post know how much horror hosts mean to me. These shows helped form my childhood, allowing me to be creative, seeing the world from a different perspective. I would say it is one of the major factors that helped me obtain the skills to be an author. Lamia, and her cast and crew, are keeping this wonderful art and tradition alive.  They are not only keeping the horror host alive, but they are also taking it to new level, expanding on what was done before and making it new and fresh. Of all the horror hosts I watch, and they are all excellent, I would suggest you never miss a broadcast of Horror Hotel. I seem to be praising this so much but trust me when I state that I do not do this show justice.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN
