Chase Con, 2016



This past weekend I attended Chase Con, in Saratoga Springs, NY.  This is a comic convention was held at the Saratoga Springs City Center.  This is one of the premier comic book/fantasy conventions held in the Capitol Region of New York. There is a fall, and spring version of this event.

There were numerous vendors, selling items from comic books to toys and games. There were also panel discussions about how to make your outfit for Cosplay (costume Play) and even how to perform fight scenes, and even acting.

There were also card tournaments for those who play Magic the Gathering, or Pokémon and Dungeons and Dragons.

While I was there I was able to meet several people who were part of the event.

Olga Kurkulina is a bodybuilder, high jumper and actress who played Mother Russia in “Kick-Ass 2” (2013). She original was born in Uzbekistan, and then immigrated to Israel.

Dahlia Legault is an actress been known for playing Francine in the TV series “The Walking Dead”. It was very enjoyable to speak to her for several minutes.

Gene Snitsky is a former ECW/TNA/WWE wrestler. He also has his own brand of beard-care products. It was actually fun to meet him.

The Chase Con is a wonderful event for anyone interested in comic book collection, or cosplay, or those who play trading card games. It was a wonderful event to attend in the Halloween season. I look forward to the spring version of this event.
