Windfall Dutch Barn Medieval Renaissance Faire 2019

It is the 2^nd weekend in August which means its time for the Windfall Dutch Barn Medieval Renaissance Faire. This year marked the 11^th annual faire held at the Windfall Dutch Barn 209 Clinton Rd. Cherry Valley, NY.

The barn is a pre-revolutionary restored structure, there is much history to this barn and the area, I recommend you read about it here.

This may be considered by many to be a small faire, but each time I attend I enjoy myself with the entertainment, vendors, activities and food that they provide.  Speaking of such items, lets get right to what I saw at this faire.


I must first apologize for some of the photos from the Barn.  It was backlite and a little too intense for my cell phone.

The Wood Dragon Garden LLC- A great vendor I have seen and spoken to over the past year. She sells wonderful soaps and other items using nothing but natural products.

Big Dipper Textiles- I cannot describe the vibrancy of the colors of her crocheted work.  You must check out the products to truly appreciate them.

The Tepee Store- The ladies of the pointed hat.  I always enjoy visiting with them.  They sell wonderful products at their tent at these faires, but also at their physical location at located halfway on Rt 20 between the charming villages of Cherry Valley and Sharon Springs NY.

Ariginal Art- What a wonderful concept this craftsman has.  Using recycled flatware, she makes wonderful new items such as jewelry, money clips etc. Truly an amazing artist.

OldWolf’s Run- Makers and sellers of some wonderful unique items.  You definitely need to check out their product line.

Norðrislá  - A talented blacksmith I have seen before. I am amazed at his skill working with heated metal.

The Button Guy- you can get one of his premade buttons, or have him insert a picture of yours.  He sells some wonderful buttons and magnets.

Bailey & Quinn- A pair of truly remarkable artists. I always enjoy listening to their music.

Gypsy Witch Doctor (Rev. Tiffany Marie Butler)- For all of your spiritual needs. She holds a Reiki Mastership, Certificate in Life Coaching and New York State Massage Therapist License. Check out her website for more information.

The Wizard Within the Wood- custom wood creations and carvings. His products show some wonderful talent and skill, check them out.

Flemenco by Omonike- Her dancing was impressive and exquisite. This is one performance words cannot describe, you must see it for yourself. (see more down below).

Sci Phi Sticks and Stones- Jeff Bliss makes some wonderful items such as earrings, pendants and coffee tables all from hard maple. You can reach him via his email address.

Nook and Cranny Reading Room- Psychic readings, tarot cards, spiritual herbs and so much more.

Hummingbird Hills Winery- a family owned winery in central/upstate NY that produces a variety of unique wines.

Alice and her Puppet Friends- What a joy to see her tell stories and see her puppets. She will delight the entire family.

The Dancing Ent- Homemade & custom woodworking and embroidered home décor and great gift items. These are very impressive products.

Image Quilt Productions- From the above mentioned Omonike Akinyemi. Making short narratives and documentaries for companies and others.  If you need such a video, check her out, she is a true professional at her craft.

Nerdz Rezin- One of a kind items made out of resin. Some truly amazing work here.

Borchert’s Birch Designs- Amazing handmade rustic indoor or outdoor furniture, and other items, made from birch wood. He can also do custom orders.

Sacred Satchel- Wonderful handbags and other handcrafted personal items.

The Paddy Nappers- If their music does not win you over, their antics during the faire will.  They are actually very talented musicians, both with their voices and their instruments.

Buccaneer Barbeque-provided some of the wonderful food at the faire.


Because of the day, and time I arrived at the faire, I did miss some performances that I wanted to see.


Iona Troupe – Is a group representing an Irish Dance School.


Happy Haegs Dance Troupe-If dancing witches dancing don’t get you excited nothing will.
