Frist Radio Interview as an Author

As many of you readers know, my recent novel just came out: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MNKNI9U/   It is a fantasy novel; the concept is that because of an evil that was released upon the world, technology has been stuck in the medieval period for the last 1,000 years.
I recently had my first interview as an author. This is with a friend of mine who goes by Mike Trash, and his show is Trash Talking Radio.

I have known Mike for several years. So when I mentioned to him about my novel, he offered to put me on his show. Mike Trash has a gift of making his guests fell at home, and he does his research, so he is well versed on the topics on hand.

His show is rather unique and informative. His show is usually dedicated to wrestling or the independent music scene (he is in the Uncle Sam Band). I have been a guest on his show before, but these visits were because I was either wrestling or promoting the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame.

So now I was on his show for being an author. The interview went rather well, especially since I was not accustomed to do an interview for a novel. I discussed the topics of my novel, and also about writing and medieval history. I just hope I did not screw too badly during the interview, and that it was somewhat entertaining.

If you wish to listen to the show, here is the link; you can find the show in the index for August 19th.

I want to thank Mike Trash, Trash Talking Radio and the fine people at MIXX Talk Radio for putting me on the air. I hope it is not the last time I get to do an interview.

Next week, I hope to be back to Medieval History.

  2. Good to hear you are getting the word out William. I know that radio can bring in readers as I have bought many books after listening to the author over the airwaves. All the best.

  4. William- I am glad you know someone who can get you some exposure. Hope this not only leads to more interviews, but sells. The link is asking for me to install a plugin of which I don't add anything to my computer.

  13. Hi William - this is so nice that you are taking us along on your journey to becoming famous - first the novel, now the radio interview. All the best as you travel on, continuing to take us with you, of course.

  15. Hi William; I'm sure you did just fine on the radio show. Its good to get your feet wet with a friend like that. I am perfectly fine with the break from your usual topics because one thing all of us bloggers and writers learn quickly is you have to celebrate the good stuff when it happens. Also, its good to show your appreciation in a post like this. It also helps to promote your appearance. Even our friends want our appearances to generate traffic. So you got to promote the heck out of stuff like this. Just did an interview myself that I will be writing about next week. :) Hope the book is doing well. Are you working on on a sequel yet? Take care, Max
